In single player games, I see no problem with it - after all, you're just cheating yourself, but a definite no-no in multiplayer gaming - all it does is spoil everyone else's fun.

yeah cheating on MP is only showing that u have no skill what so ever.

Not only that, but then the good players are then accused of cheating - all the effort that a player puts in to get good, only to be labelled a cheat - that utterly sucks.

Cheating on single player is your own business. I have done it in the past but I rarely do nowadays. Just don't cheat and then try to pass it off as being a very good player. Cheating on multiplayer is wrong in my opinion, unless everyone playing has agreed (for instance it is possible that limited cheating in an RTS might make the game interesting, but only if everybody agress to it beforehand and agrees to the cheats that will be allowed).

ur telling me. i hate it when people say that i cheat.
i get good anough with the disc and my spear gun. i dont use hunting vision with the disc. i use it to rebound into them. then i use my spear gun and i can kill 20 times from a good sniper spot. then i am accused of being on a free fly but still in game cheater. where u can fly arround and not be seen but still shoot. it totally sucked being called a cheater becuase the marines couldnt find me.

Been there done that. People accuse me of using cheat in game. Basicly snper munch. Ok i understand my connection isnt the best out and i lag a little but calling me a cheater is a sorry excuse. I havent played avp for a while but i plan to got multi soon.

becuase when i played u i played more honorable then i usually do. then again u are much better. dont u remember when i had that big server and i wasted alot of them. u and me were fighting together. we royally beet them.

ive only been called a cheat once, on a stratagie game... i found out this funny trick to place permanent invisible units infront of an enemy base, blocking land unit passge...
i also fought all the guys air tactics back real easy, adn when i attcked him with land... he tried to report me... that back fired

i got accused of cheating a few times
1 for being too good with combistick as the person said
2 by someone in my clan saying i was too good for having 56k with sniper
and we just kicked a cheater, but he was a cheater
we have some of the best player on the net and he made them look like noobs with his cheats

My largest problem with cheat, on multiplayer, is that you ruin the game for the other players and that normally makes people angry.
