OK, I need some therapy after having my heart ripped out by a cold, but beautiful female.



How do YOU deal with all-out rejection???

Ouch, demi man it takes alot of guts to say that, good man. i recently got seperated from my GF, we had been together almost 3 years, she got accepted into a law school over in england and she wanted to stay but i told her to go as this was a one timer situation, for a start, i try to keep really busy so i won't have to think about it, then as soon as you can, go out and find another female to take your mind off the old one, i am on the hunt for another female but so far i am unseccessful, i am going to numerous parties in the weekend as usual so who knows, i might find a winner!! good luck Demi, and i know how you feel, i am sorry mate!!

Just try and find someone else as soon as possible. 'Tis by far the best way (and as far as I know the only way) to get over a breakup.

the weird thing is--I'l be seeing the "reason" for my pain every day until I quit this workplace...

well. i know how u feel like demi. i got rejected by this one girl who was really nice and all. and then to put the frosting on the cake she gets asked out by this complete jack hole and she says yes. my advice is to stay really busy. get revenge some how( only if u are certain u can get away with it, and if u are certain it is the right thing to do) talk with ur friends.

I don't necessarily mean revenge (although that can help too ), I mean if you get laid then you'll have someone to use the emotions on that used to be reserved for your ex. You'll get over her a lot quicker by doing that.

I've been rejected a few times, but only dumped the once. The psychologist cost a bit, but worked wonders. As did a 6 week trip to UK/ Europe. Took another relationship (which also didn't work) and a long time to get happy being single, then as soon as I did I met my future wife. Go figure.

The best thing I learned was how to put your loss into perspective against other nasty events. How does getting dumped compare with finding out you have cancer, or the death of a loved one, or losing a limb? You list down lots of bad things that range from irritating to devastating and put the relationship break up on that scale. You re-assess that list every week and find that the old adage of 'time heals all wounds' is in fact correct.

Well demi, sorry it has to come to this, but you have to talk it over with her, you have to find out what she feels, because i am thinking that you still have feelings for her right? if you do then you need to talk to her and find out what she feels, then if its a negative result you should start to get over it.

It seems God wants me to have some perspective--all else is going splendidly [career and prospect-wise] so maybe I WAS getting a bit too cocky and needed [in HIS eyes] a reality kick????????

HAHAHA!!! i thought i was the only one who drank guiness!! Real mans beer it is!! bit expensive over here though, but i still drink it!! i fell in love with it about 4 years ago when me and my dad went pubing in glasgow, we were on holiday, what a holiday it was!!

ive been a kidder almost this entire time ive been posting here... and this, is the most serious thing i can rember...

Demi, my real advice, is basicly, well... its hard, this is how i like to do this. Do something you really like to do, that she didnt like you doing (something that does not involve her!) and forget her, there are plenty more fish in the sea... but if your like me, you just cant forget... so, do the best thing, smother the memory

remeber pleasant things, go out, have fun, now its all you you you, not her her her... make new memories, and eventually, you may stop feeling the pain, i know i have... took awhile, but ive gotten over it...

Nice call S53, thats one of the better theories, go out and get smashed have a goood time and come back home with a nice chic and get laid, that usually works for about a few days, but if you start a realationship with her then thats even better, but in that state i find it hard to rememeber ask her if we should go out!!
