We have to try and get more people on this website and alos interested in all of the absolute gamers network. we need ideas to figure out how to do this. i have a couple. first email David at planetavp and see if we could get some help from him. also maybe (please dont kill me for saying this) we could team up Planetavp and absoluteavp to create a one site. we could also see if we couldnt get other sites to also join. now i dont know if this could happen technoligy wise becuase i only know a little about websites. but if we could get a whole conglomerant of websites based off of all the catagories we value here.

We could get all these websites into one website were our GS section would grow greatly. are forums could grow greatly and our members could grow greatly. we could also start paying for advertising all over the net or in regular game stores. but please there is nothing more that i love then aliens and people who love aliens. wether it be Xeno Morphs or preds or anyother species you like we should start getting back up and getting this site bigger.

As to payed advertising, I simply do not have the money to spand on advertising

some of those are big things lord. man money is every thing nowdays as well as time. and most of us here have day jobs etc. i would be willing to forfit all my savings since i started my appreticeship to save this site. but whether it is necissary i do nnot know. we will over come.

yeah but what about atleast talking to david at planetavp to get some ideas on how to get more members. i mean his website seems to be doing ok.

Paid banners is not the only type of payed advertising, there is a less obvious and probably much less expensive way to advertise. My friend became a paid sponsor of Yahoo! and in return they made his webpage the first site returned when you search for "multiplayer." He cancelled after a little while because it was decided that it was too early for that sort of publicity, but you might be able to do that this site, like make it the first site returned when you search for "aliens vs predator" or something like that. That way if people are looking for info on games this site has info on, it will always be the first one they find (or at least close to the first one). I don't know how expensive it is, but it might be something to at least look into.

good idea but i just started this forum to give others motivated to start doing more for our website. i dont know if i can do the yahoo thing. but tell slof or demigod.

Regarding Gamespy.
I like David--we started off as a planetavp hosted, so I have a very good memory of the site and its crew.
BUT--gamespy never "teams up" with anyone, UNLESS THEY BUY US OUT.
THAT would be interesting.

We don't need paid advertising at Yahoo, since the site name guarantees a good result [top of first page] in case of appropriate queries in the search engine.

We AIN'T gonna be paying for our advertising--the sites are self-funded, and none of us are prepared to fork out MORE money for what we have. I'm looking at inveting in a server to create a file d/l feature, but thats a few months off.

Neither will we charge our members.

What we need is appropriate content to FILL THE SITE and that will enable to draw in the visitors.
For that we need PEOPLE willing to put in the work--its THAT simple.

That wouldn't be interesting. it would be a bloody war i can tell you now!!

What about the clans, do you think that they would give support? Maybe even try asking AvPNews or AvPNation for advice...

GS has a comment of stories code an so far we have 86 comments, and most of these were made by other writers in the first few days of it being brought in....

Hmm you are right I have no idea what we can do to keep GS and AGN here, but I do NOT wnat them to go. I have loved this site since I first layed eyes on it's the first site I have EVER joined and I hope it stays. dont lose hope may b it's just in a slump right now, it'll come back.

hey same with me this is the first site i have ever registered onto. also eversince i started reading alien slofs books i loved this site. and im talking about recruiting more of us normal members to help out with game story and the other sites to make things easier on our leaders.

Listen up every one. I got an awsome idea, ok most people love games here and are part or lead a clan, most of thes clans have websites, well if the people like this site to thiers chances aare well get seen more and out of curiocity people will click in and get hooked and then thell tell other people and ill be cool. Another is a very annoying chain letter , people cant help but read them, or passover notes. Also there is a way to get on game spy i myself am a gamespy arcade [WIZ] and we get our own small section to post news. We can post a link there. Heck people always want the join the Wizards.
