Ok I started this becuz I was wondering how all you people decided on your names? Since i asked that I have to give you the reson I chose mine I figured "hey there is all those cool latin names out there Why Cant I Have One!" so I chose this one ( It means Warrior )
PS how do you thing a book should be submitted after it's finished or a chapter at a time (Needed info thank u)

Well for me it was easy since my name is Clifford so I those Cliff since most people call me that.

About the second part normally I like to have finished at least a few chapter before I submit my stuff. Remember if you submit a story that is already finish the creative criticism you receive would be useless (unless you decide to rewrite the whole story.)

Glad I could be of some usefull help for once.

It is just a name of a character I made up. I think it is a cool name, so I decided to use it myself.

My name.... well, my avp2 screen name is acually {TBW}Killa Dutch_L. The tbw is my clan, obviously. Killa, well, that's pretty basic, I had kill in all my previous names before I came up with this one, so I decided to keep it. Dutch: lots of ppl think "Well, that's because he's Dutch." Not true, I am Canadian . The name Dutch comes from the character Arnold plays in Predator, and Arnold's my idol, so I chose that.
Previous names that just didnt work:

-KILLIN YOU NOW
Then came up with my name, and kept it for a long time.

Mine's an extrapolation of the extreme delusions of grandeur that I harbour deep within.

Well my names mark and i thought about it and try ed markxenoman. that was taken. tryed marcusxeno, noluck there. so in the end it just came out as marcuspred. but my nick name is Hooler, thats in nz and who ever else that may want to call me that.

Original alias: TechnoArcher.

Techno - my preferred style of music, next to Trance. However, Trance wouldn't make for part of a good alias.

Archer - it comes from my skill with distance tactics. In UT, when people are charging in with Rocket Launchers, I'm stepping back so that I can get an inescapable homing lock on my target. This is one of many examples.

However, this name became a little hard to work with. It was always getting shortened to Techno anyway, so I worked with it. Because there are quite literally a zillion Technos in the online community, I needed something unique. So I took my first and last initials and put them in as a suffix.

Note: My name is Techno_JF, and the underscore is mandatory for me. If you see somebody with the name TechnoJF or "Techno JF", then it's probably an outdated version of my current alias that I have long abandoned (or a current one that I haven't gotten around to correcting yet).

I must say I honestly thought Killadutch was Dutch, or didn't like dutch (kill a dutch )

Well after reading Demis post I really need to find my thesaurus.

well, i have several aliases i usually use.
one is INS@NE, but that was taken. nowadays i use !N$@N3, but thats just lately. If there arent symbols, i go with nice, simple Vyper. but that was taken. bugger again. so i thought about it. i wanted an alien style name - I decided on NiteStalker, because i always play as a xeno. i love to hide in the dark and then decimate anyone who doesnt notice with a tasty bite to the back of the head. and voiala! NiteStalker was born.

oh yeah, and i tried BigBossBoB (thats the name of my imaginary friend for those who dont know), but it was taken too. what is the world coming to when a guy cant name himself after his real life imaginary friends?
