Hey, long time no post, had some issiues getting here again but hey, my computer sucks, hows every one doing, site still alive and well I hope.

The site is falling apart, membership appears to be at its lowest. And i somehow dont see it getting alot better.

But we die hard fools check on the site every few days. I usually pop in without signing in.

why am i posting a reply now? mostly because i thought someone should.

Things have been busy on my end, I'm a few hours north of where all these hurricanes are hitting and everyone keeps evacuating into our area making it very busy. I just don't have the time like I use to, though I'm still wanting to play and end LV666 and start another here for memership sake and cause I like RPing here (whenever there's people here that is).

Don't know when I'll be able to get on the comp now, Rita has sent yet even more evacuees our way and I having got in to work at 7 did not leave till 5:15, and the only break I had the entire day was a 15 min break which the manager told me my break/lunch break could only be 15 mins long. Another reason they were forced into our area 'cause the neighboring city in Texas, the store there closed at 2 in the afternoon. Not only that, but now my mom and step-dad are moving in with us until all this blows over, that will be six people living under our roof.
I'm saying this 'cause I was planning on posting on the game.

Well, I have been really busy

First, the server OS went down 2 weeks ago. But after almost 2 years ( !!! ) of working 24/7 I think Linux has done far better than Windows.

It has been upgraded many time, it most cases it was better to have done clean install than an upgrade, but hey..

the trouble was, no-one has been downloading the back-up files. So even tho' the server has been backing up the accounts, hardly anyone had any recent back ups.

Therefore, I had to rescue all the data that I could before the server could be re-installed.

Once that was sorted, I thought were back to normal, then Sunday 'some one'had been messing about with the back-restore facility too much and ended up corrupting the DB for the server. So I was back to reloading the key files again !!!

In the mean time, I have been doing my work & my managers work as always. I have been 'trying' (with no sucess) to write up my CV so that I could apply for jobs with BAE Systems.

Apart from that, 2 weeks have gone by in a flash !


In the meantime, I got couple of feature waiting to live, but I need to de-bug them first

Do not forget that I am here also, may not be always around on the site, but I am always here never the less, hope everyone is doing alright. And don't worry, the site will pick up again, it always does. Common guys, chin up huh? We will be fine.

Well, now my time is pretty dominated by the Corps of Cadets, let's just say that I now lead a life that the weak, unmotivated, undisciplined, and certainly the faint of heart cannot live. Let's just say that I LOOK FOWARD to the Academic day (time off and away from the quad). This weekend is going to be our first actuall "Free" weekend. Corps life is tough for the most part.
