I was watching the discovery channel (This is the exact reason i dont watch it) and this show about Spontanius Human Combustion was on HOLY SH** im pissen myself right now thinken about it- it can disinegrate a Ooman body in like 15 minutes! they had pics and everything im scarred for life *hides under wet blanket sucking thumb*

I remember buying these wierd books that "explained" phenomenals like this when I was very young. One of the stories wrote of a man dancing in the middle of a dance court and suddenly getting on fire. Literally. Wierd. Still don't know if it's true or not, but I wouldn't be so surprised. Some things just can't be explained. I liked the theory made in "Parasite Eve" though.

Eve (the bad character) got her powers from the Mitochondria that lives within every one of us. The Mitchondria (which, in true fact, was a parasite that used to live on its own before becoming a part of us) decided to rebel inside of Eve. With it, Eve was able to spontanously combust everyone in the opening scene of the game by invoking each of the people's cells. Since the cells were invoked, they were all working fast at the same time, creating a hot sensation.



This game rocks and the theory is pretty good. (The CGI sequences ROCK!) On a personal note, the game pretty much inspired me to write my recent Alien/Predator story as well as develope several theories of my own.

I only saw a trailer for Parasite Eve, where people at an opera were flying out of the balcony on fire and such, and fighter jet pilots were crashing because they call just died in their cockpits... it looked great!

There is one sort of human combustion I could think of... the Marburg disease. Like 80% of all the material in your body becomes festering, living virus, and you basically turn into a big bloody puddle of virus over a day, after the symptoms kick in.

Marburg is very similar to Ebola and the ONLY reason it doesnt have the African names [like Ebola Zaire or Ebola Sudan] is that the first outbreak ocurred in Marburg, Germany.



Other than that--they come from the same lethal family.

COOOOOOOOL I was lookin through old stuff and came across this. I read an "unexplained mysteries" book just awile back and this was in it! You got to see the "before" and "after pictures of people that went POOF! usually the "after" was a black crater with like a hand or foot or somthing. That would be cool. i saw this newspaper article, where some dude started to spontaneously combust, and it saved his life!!!


he was making this big speech, and all of a sudden his arm just sort of lit up and he was running around screaming. he got put in an ambulance just before the ampitheatre blew up. i turned out he had a few enemies in the underworld, and it was assasination attept. he recovered (god only knows how) from the 'burning', and only lost one arm, an eye and got a major limp in one leg.
