I've noticed the forums have slowed down again, I don't think this is a good thing. But at least some of the veterans are coming back, still it seems wial I wasn't sighned up the forums where filled with activity, then when I sighned up they slowed down because of some other noobs acting like idiots. Then every one seemed to be so down because the veterans left, now we need to get this back to gether people. I have an idie, we need to recrute new people and someone please find the other veterans that were pushed out by those noobs, if we can geet a large number of people here I think we would be back runing faster than ever.

I think these forums are just like life and business. Slow times and Fast times. Things are just slowing down for the moment, but will probably be up and going fast again soon.

I agree, I'm interested in meeting these Old-Schoolers.

most of us are tired and stressed out by life. i show up here maybe once a day. maybe less. i am just tired of alot of things. maybe after finals i will be more energetic and support the sight more.

but contact with most of the old schoolers has been lost. and also quite a few just were not enjoying this site. i still come just to make sure it still exists. and to say the occasional thing.

razor i support you on this. im just to sick of doing things like this. this site has been slowing down steadily for quite some time.

alot of great members have left. i tried to help the site one last time. but i still havent gotten any replies from prezes. i cant help the site or bring it back up without him. unless another programmer gets the job then prezes is the only one. talk to him. dont expect to be replied to though.

I notice most of the time, that a lot of people sign up, but never even post. It's going to have to be a effort from new members and old members to bring this sight back up from its recline. prezes just needs to put up a forum, for people willing to help out the site. They could just sign up, i'm sure there are many of us that would be willing to help.

I hope that would be the result of such a forum. I would help.

Well if you ask me it's because of what the times are saying. AvP is coming out mid-August and more people may just find a site like this. I've been gone a loooong time because I've been trying to spread the word via my ((re-made)) webpage. So far results were unsucessful....but if we all pull together we can make it happen.

rounding up the vetrans won't be an easy task, i know, i am one of them, i know slof comes and does her job here and at GS, but she is very busy with work and other commitments as well. But slof is only one of our many vetrans, as for the others, i have no idea, maybe they just decided it wasn't doing it for them... no one but them knows, i say don't loose sleep over it, its like the old saying:

We're all swamped these days--I gotta focus on finishing off my doctorate and on preparing new subejcts to teach next year.
Then, add to that the never ending cycle of "greed-->money-->more greed-->more money" and its a whirlwind of activity

I may not be busy with any type of school but it's a full chore to keep up with my husband, keep the house ridded up, work at the work place, trying to maintain decent sites, working on new chapters while trying to add touch ups to older ones.
I enjoy coming to gamestory and wish I had more time to add chapters, check out other stories and the threads.
At least there are a few new people here.
I've mentioned this site quite a few times to people with stories or who enjoy gaming entertainment but it didn't go through.
I also agree with Razotech's comment on "some other noobs acting like idiots". That goes without saying. It's surely been done quite a few times and that's the only thing of this site that actually gets under my skin.

Well, most people I meet on the Yahoo chat boards say, "Aliens suck." or "Predators suck." and 99.9% of the time they don't know what it is.
I'm sorry about having the super long delay. I've been feverishly working on school, my website and otherthings and still cannot be on muck because I'm on middle of nowhere dial up.

I've been cut off from the internet while I was home for a brief vacation, and then longer because my office was slow getting me an internet connection. But I'm back on now.
