Man, things are either moving to fast over here, or I'm just getting old. Last I remember I was hanging out with my friends and spending time with my folks, but now, everything I had growing up is almost like it's disappearing. The dog I had for 12 years will be put to sleep in two days, the horse I have had for 10 years will have to be shipped to Arkansas and sold due to medical conditions, Louisiana's dried weather has made her very sick and it costs too much money to buy medicine and special feed and hay for her, plus she had a sweet little colt (male horse) a few months ago. My Dad just got re-married awhile ago to a nice Australian lady, she does live in Australia, and they will be moving between Louisiana and there. My bro has been going to schools and graduating through all them that it's hard to keep track of where he is, then he's going into the airforce afterwards. I have a childhood friend who's in college while the other is depressed half the time and goes crazy, in a good way, whenever I come to visit. Even the neighbors kids that I use to babysit and play with as babies are old enough to go to school now.
It's kinda like I'm sitting on the porch and the world are all the cars just wizzing by.

Wait till you see people you remember as being kids having kids of their own - that really hammers home how old you are! I'm ancient compared to most of the peeps here - when I moved to my current house the kid a couple of doors along was a toddler - he's now a teenager! OMG I'm old! I'm in a similar position with my own animals. The 3 horses I grew up with are long dead, I've buried a good few cats and dogs as they've grown old and died, I realised only the other day that my remaining cats are all old too. One fell last year to a terrible illness, and the remaining 3 are getting a bit doddery. I'm getting doddery with them!

Sometimes living longer than anything else sucks! I outlive my pets! Still, our existence goes on. And - I think time speeds up the older you get - certainly it feels like it!

I feel like i have a jump-start on age now o.O
Two out of four horses have died. About seven out of fourteen cats have died, approximately four fishtanks have died (well, they all, erm, passed on after only a week. I think i'm cursed.), and my one dog ever got a tumor and had to be put to sleep.
I havn't had much family trouble, so far out of the relatives i've met only one great aunt (who had no regrets) who is dead now, but i guess i've got lot's more to come.
Life seems so unbearably tragic sometimes.
i'm depressed now. I think when i'm done here, i'll just go and curl up in a corner

I didn't think about that, guess I'll be feeling really old to when that happens.
As for my horse and dog, shoot, I'm 20 now turning 21 in a few months and I've had those two since I was 9/10. I've had the dog since he was 9 months old and the horse since she was 1 or 2, I wasn't to worried about them at first 'cause I new they would get old and die before I would, which is what's happening to my dog, but my horse knocked me right off my feet. My mom called me up and said she was dieing, because she can't breathe in this weather, I curled up and started crying, I've thought about having her put to sleep a few times 'cause I just bear the thought of her being owned by someone else other then a family member. My horse was raised differently and is very high spirited that is at times hard for other people to control and most people when stuck in that situation will beat the horse sensless, I never had to beat her at all 'cause she'll listen to anything I say: She's afraid of water and I'm the only person who can give her a bath without a fight or have her walk across a stream, because she trusts me. She's been living at my mom's place since I got married and will be in charge of getting her up there to her friends place and selling her from there, her friend, our old lanlord and retired military friend knows a guy with a grandson that will take her, I just hope they won't be cruel to her. Both the dog and my horse were abuse cases when we got them.
